Just wrapped up all my travel notes from a trip to Jay Peak Resort. This might be my favorite discovery of the whole trip. Perched on the Trout River, The Inn is a boutique property that feels like a well-kept secret. Built in 1890, the place has gone through a few owners, and the current one has filled it with soul. Each of the 11 rooms is eclectic and warm, with furnishings sourced from garage sales — but it somehow feels Aspen-chic. Breakfast is included, and a few rooms have twin beds, perfect for mother/daughter or parent/kid trips. No TVs in the rooms — which, as a Ski Mom, I consider a total plus.
