Only NY has come together with Manhattan Portage, the pioneers of the iconic messenger bag, to produce a functional collection of bags made for city life. Manhattan Portage has been designing and producing hand-made bags since 1983 with the vision to take the functionality of outdoor gear and bring them to an urban audience featuring materials such as Cordura nylon and utility buckles.

Our design team set out to create an offering to meet the Manhattan Portage’s motto of “New York Tough” including technical bags such as duffles, totes, satchels, and coin pouches with key components including vinyl coated tarpaulin fabric, 1000D Cordura panels, 1000D Cordura straps, and Cordura 210D coated nylon.
