For over a decade, our Executive Director, Samora Coles, has been in the trenches with young parents in Brooklyn and across NYC—offering parenting education, job readiness training, and the kind of community she once needed herself.

Now she’s a finalist for the CBCF Community Choice Award for Leadership & Impact, and we get to show up for her the way she’s shown up for us.

The Alex House Project is still feeling the afterglow of Tuesday evening's amazing Moonchild show at Irving Plaza!

A million-and-one thanks to Amber, Max, Charlie, and everyone from the tour for using their platform to draw attention tothe work being done at nonprofit organizations across the country, like TAHP.

We would like to recognize and applaud how truly special this is: they don't have to share their spotlight, but they DO. They choose to use their platform to uplift people who are struggling, and they don't stop there: they also donate a portion of show revenues to the community nonprofits they partner with, and generously encourage their amazing audience to donate, follow and subscribe to newsletters and posts, to stay engaged and aware of the work being done in their communities, and join a growing family of incredible people who care enough to make a difference.

The show was INCREDIBLE, and featured a surprise appearance from Rhapsody that had the crowd roaring.

The AUDIENCE at Irving Plaza was inspiring, too! Moonchild fans are the best -- thoughtful, responsive, civic-minded, socially engaged listeners, with great taste in music! To everyone who found The Alex House Project during the concert, who gave us a follow and joined our email list: welcome! Thank you for listening, for responding, for following, for giving, and for being here. Here are a few easy ways to stay connected and continue the impact:

We are immensely grateful to you for sharing in our mission and for supporting the work -- it means the world.

And again, overwhelming thanks to MOONCHILD for spending their social and financial capital making the world a safer, more equitable (and better-sounding!) place to live. Much love and gratitude from The Alex House Project. We wish you all the success in the world for the rest of the tour, and beyond -- nothing could be more well-deserved.
