Acker returns to Switzerland on Saturday, May 9, livestreamed from Zürich and Geneva at 10am CEST. Following a record first quarter, the auction features nearly 1,000 lots and over $3 million of the world's finest and rarest wines, drawn from top collections across Switzerland, Burgundy, and Europe.
First of many exceptional collections throughout the sale is "The Cellar of a Swiss Entrepreneur" (Lots 53–117). Sixty-five lots from a friend of the house, most still in their original packaging. Burgundy is the heart of it: DRC Romanée-Conti 2012, 2015, and 2016; Comte Liger-Belair La Romanée 2011; Dugat-Py Chambertin 2018; with Roumier, Méo-Camuzet, Mugneret-Gibourg, Rouget, and Prieuré-Roch in support. Bordeaux runs just as deep: magnums of Angélus 2010 and Margaux 2009 in banded OWC, Le Pin 2018, Pétrus 2009. Sassicaia 2016–2020 in original wooden cases. Colgin, Eisele Vineyard, and Opus One round out California.
This is just the beginning. Direct offerings from three producers joining us in Zürich, Arnaud Mortet of Domaine Denis Mortet, Rodolphe Péters of Champagne Pierre Péters, and Bernard and Charlotte Grafé of Maison Grafé Lecocq, plus winemaker lunches and dinners throughout the week.
