“Light At the End”
How you deal with a trip down a tunnel depends entirely how you feel going in and what you expect at the end. If your state upon entry is the same state you expect when exiting, then the tunnel becomes just a section of the journey.

Life is a series of light and dark. The length and depth of the tunnel is exactly proportionate to the amount of darkness we cling onto. When I find myself in the dark, I have to remind myself it is I who create the path. I can bask in the light as well as repose in the darkness. As hard as it sometimes can become, I can find beauty in the moment.

For many years, this and ridiculously lovable, overly excited English bulldogs greeted me home. The babies have long gone and in a few years we’ll probably replace this aging shed. But I shall never forget that feeling of “home.”
