⚓ Apprenticeship Insights: Hands-On Learning – A Week on Board as a Trainee

Ever wondered what RoRo shipping looks like from the bridge instead of the office?

As part of our global apprenticeship program at “K” Line, one of our trainees had the unique opportunity to join a voyage aboard our group company vessel, KESS, sailing from Malmö through Finland and Estonia, back to Rostock.

From route planning and maneuvering to communication and coordination, she experienced firsthand the precision and teamwork that drive safe and efficient RoRo operations.

Over the weekend, we had the privilege of hosting our Officer’s Conference in the beautiful town of Cavtat, Croatia 🇭🇷

The event brought together officers from our LNG fleet and the new LCO₂ vessels, providing an excellent opportunity to exchange insights, discuss key challenges, and celebrate recent achievements.

We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their time, dedication, and valuable contributions throughout the sessions. We look forward to continued collaboration and success across our global fleet.

🚢 ShoreTension Test at ICO Terminals – Advancing Safety at Sea and Shore ⚓

K Line Logistics USA was proud to participate in the recent ShoreTension test conducted on the Pontus Highway at the International Car Operators (ICO) Terminal in Zeebrugge.

This hands-on test showcased how ShoreTension’s dynamic mooring system enhances safety and stability for RoRo vessels under simulated storm conditions. With loadcells in place and tugs generating challenging forces, the system proved its ability to minimize risks of line failure and improve mooring security during rough weather.

🛠️ Beyond the technical success, this milestone represents progress toward smarter, safer, and more efficient port operations.
