Metropolitan Maltese Rescue

Have a good and safe holiday weekend, while enjoying this collection of flag-themed photos of Metropolitan Maltese Rescue graduates that we received and saved from over the years! TGIF.

We at Metropolitan Maltese Rescue are always glad to hear from our graduates. This one is especially great, since we had Peppa (and Salt!) in foster care for 11 months, which is way longer than average.

Those who follow us know all of the health and socialization hurdles these boys (and their foster family!) worked hard to overcome, and for those who don't know, we recommend looking back at our posts from January through November 2025 to follow along. We know so many of you were invested in and helped fund their successes, so this is an update we can ALL appreciate!

"This is Peppa. He is doing extremely well. He is lovable and cuddly and has a huge yard of which he now is considering himself the land baron LOL. He is at a 11 lb healthy weight, and I Thank God everyday for him. He also likes lounging in the sun in his bed. Thank you Beth and Metropolitan Rescue for bringing such joy into my life."

This week we received two unrelated pretty photos of two pretty Metropolitan Maltese Rescue graduates, both similarly posing on wood floors. What a coincidence! What cuteness! What a cheery way to end the week and start the weekend! TGIF.

One of our Metropolitan Maltese Rescue foster moms was delighted when she recently and randomly ran into one of her former foster dogs, Lacie, when out and about running errands.

If you didn’t know her already, you can tell Lacie is a girl because of all the pink: her pink nose matches her pink leash and matches her pink stroller. And her “mom” is absolutely in the pink with having her in their family. Another perfect match!

And we are in the pink because it is the start of the weekend! TGIF
