This February, we celebrate the incredible contributions and achievements of Black Americans throughout history. Their resilience, innovation, and courage have profoundly shaped not only our nation but also the world we live in today.

At PS 38, we are committed to encouraging our scholars, families, and teaching staff to dive deep into this important part of our history and honor the African Americans whose legacies inspire us all.

Join us for our February POWER Day Live School Assembly entitled “I Am My Ancestors’ Wildest Dreams” on Friday, February 13th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the PS 38 School Auditorium. 🎉📚

Expect special guest speakers, inspiring presentations, and well-deserved recognition of our scholars as we come together to learn, reflect, and celebrate.

Throughout the month, PS 38 is commemorating Black History Month in unique ways through lessons, events, and activities that honor the remarkable figures of this month’s history.

Let’s learn, grow, and celebrate together. We hope to see you there! 🌟✊🏾

During Respect for All (RFA) Week, schools across the city will have the opportunity to highlight and build upon Kindness over Bullies, ongoing diversity programs, and embark on new initiatives that
promote respect for diversity and focus on preventing bullying, intimidation, and bias-based harassment. Your school is also encouraged to promote acceptance and understanding through theme-based lessons and activities throughout the week.

Suggested themes to host during RFA week! You are also encouraged to celebrate National No One Eats
Alone Day on February 13, a lunchtime event during which students are encouraged to connect and engage with their peers in order to combat social isolation.

For resources to help you plan your RFA activities, visit the RFA website at schools.nyc.gov/RespectForAll or contact
