Rescued in Egypt, flown to NYC JFK from Cairo on December 6th, two fosters later, and SIMONE, an exquisite, friendly, sweet, polite, healthy, spayed girl, about 20 months of age, is still chilling, waiting for her furrever digs to present themselves in The Big Apple. SIMONE is FeLV/FIV tested negative, current in vaccinations and microchipped. Did we mention she is stunning?

This friendly kitty left on the streets of Egypt was bearing up under the weight of a tail tumor the size of a grapefruit.
ZIKO was rescued by wonderful Egyptian Rescuer Mahy Mahmoud.
Place For Cats arranged surgery for kitty in August 2025 - his tail was removed and ZIKO healed wonderfully.
ZIKO is now fully healed, healthy, neutered, current in vaccinations and READY TO FLY TO NYC to a purrrrmanent loving home!!

PLEASE, PLEASE help us save this kitty who is currently on death row at NYC ACC for Thursday, February 12th.

This stunning boy is FIV positive, about 7 years old, and as you can see, gorgeous. He is a gentle soul, neutered, friendly, and has many more years left that he would like to LIVE!

As you may know, FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus) is NOT generally infectious, transmitting only through deep bite wounds where the saliva of an infected cat gets into the bloodstream of another during aggressive fights. FIV is NOT transmissible to humans.

According to ACC's profile of kitty, (link in comments,) Blizzard's FIV manifests only in "persistent skin lesions that have not responded to treatment in shelter. We suspect the underlying cause is allergies, and Blizzard may need to be on a long-term medication that is not available in shelter." Of course, Place For Cats will obtain a further medical evaluation of the skin lesions and identify the treatment prior to adoption.

PLEASE WILL SOMEONE STEP UP FOR THIS GORGEOUS, DESERVING BOY??? We will do a foster-to-adopt situation but a home is needed before Thursday, February 12th.
