When volunteer EMT Simone Kelly helped save a person's life during the Knicks championship parade after they experienced an overdose, her first instinct was simple: someone needed help. But her commitment to saving lives didn't end there.

Inspired by that experience, Simone launched a fundraiser to support OnPoint NYC and raise awareness about the overdose crisis, believing more people should understand that overdoses are preventable and that everyone has a role to play. Recently, we welcomed Simone to our East Harlem location, where she met the people behind our work and saw firsthand how we respond to the overdose crisis every day. Together, we talked about overdose prevention, expanding access to naloxone, connecting people to healthcare, and creating spaces where everyone is treated with dignity and compassion.

Thank you, Simone, for your courage, generosity, and for choosing to stand with OnPoint NYC. Your actions remind us that compassion, quick action, and access to life-saving tools can make all the difference. To support Simone's fundraiser, visit https://bit.ly/4wbNHnn
