Phans for Racial Equity

PHRE asks those engaging in this event tonight either in person or via webcast to reflect on the lands on which we will gather together & to acknowledge the ancestral homelands & traditional territories of the Indigenous peoples who have been here since time immemorial.

We acknowledge the ancestral homelands of those who were here before us & those who still live here, keeping in mind the integrity of this territory where some of the area Native peoples identify as part of the:

Lumbee
Tuscarora

We acknowledge that the spaces we occupy sit on the unceded land of many Indigenous communities. We would also like to lift up and recognize the collective struggle and alignment between Indigenous, Black and Brown people in North America and honor the Black labor and lives lost over the centuries that has made our current society possible.
