Brooklyn Stitchery

Students ask me how I like to work and the funny thing is that I rarely make something for myself from start to finish in one shot. I also like to work on multiple projects at one time. This cape was started years ago and I came across it this past spring when I unboxed my studio, so I added the embroidery. Then it sat for awhile until I found the right lining (amongst my fabric stash as I knew that I had the perfect color). After I lined it, it sat for more time while I searched for the right closing for the front. Once summer came, it was put aside again until now. I’m ready to finally finish it!
