The key cards were working fine. Everything else at the front door — not so much.

The outdoor intercom wasn't responding, the buzzer had stopped working, and the indoor panel wasn't releasing the door when the button was pressed. For a residential building, that's not a minor inconvenience — it's a daily frustration for every resident coming and going.
