The great Cookie Stark is, sadly, now the late, great Cookie Stark. My dear friend transitioned during the night and is on to the next journey, whatever that may be. I hope she's reunited with her sisters and her beloved Kenneth, and I am forever grateful that she came into my life and became my dear, dear friend. So many wonderful, joyful, ribald stories I could share, but for now I'll just say I will miss her profoundly, as I know her family will, as well. What a journey she had. Here's. one of my favorite photos of her, from her last true cabaret, "This is 88," just before the pandemic. She did another full evening when she turned 90, but by 92 it was too much. May we all live such fulfilled lives. May we all send so much love out into the world. And for those who knew and loved her, may her memory be a blessing. Services are Monday, 19th at 11AM at Riverside Chapel for anyone who wants to come and pay their respects. I will post a couple of videos of her in the coming days. For now, I can only say "Rest in peace, dear one." You've earned it.
