Do Reading Logs Ruin Reading? Forcing kids to keep track of their reading time can turn it into a chore.

I work with girls in middle school and high school who often get hamstrung by perfectionism. I see how it interferes with curiosity and the ability to take risks in learning, as well as eroding self esteem and causing social anxiety.
