Enjoying a pour of 's new release and a at a of mine!
I have to confess, I misjudged this beer. When I first had it I found it unremarkable. I felt some nice floral notes through the moderately strong malt character, but the lightness of the flavor and how it dispersed quickly disappointed me. But we just switched out the keg and man, this is solid! What was just floral before is now also herbal, both in aroma and palate, thanks to the lemongrass added to the . While its still a light easy going and it still has a short linger the inclusion of the lemongrass imparts this almost ginger-like sensation on my tongue, as well as herbal and faintly lemony flavor. I don't get any wheat at all from this on the tongue but there is a faint graib oresence on the aroma, as well as a nice sense of honey, and faint Belgian spice and citrus on the nose.
Interesting take on the style. Definitely a session beer with its light and easy drinkability, but still nice to enjoy. 3.5/5
