We are thrilled to introduce our second “guest” choreographer for Choreo-Lab 2026 — Complexions Co-Associate Artistic Director and Company Artist, Jillian Davis.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Jillian joined Complexions Contemporary Ballet as a Company Artist in 2014 and has been an integral part of the company ever since. In addition to her roles as Co-Associate Artistic Director and Company Artist, she also works as a Choreographer Assistant for Jae Man Joo and Dwight Rhoden and serves as a Master Faculty member for Complexions Academy.

Jillian began her choreographic career with the creation of her first work, Tashweesh, in San Francisco in 2012. She launched the Jillian Davis Dance Project in 2013 to further her creative voice. Her choreography has been commissioned by Missouri Valley College, Contemporary Ballet Dallas, Princeton Youth Ballet, Berks Ballet Theatre, and Dallas Conservatory. Her work Tiel was featured in Jennifer Muller’s HATCHED Series and selected as a finalist for Rider University’s Emerging Choreographers Showcase. Her piece Hovercraft earned first place at the 2021 YAGP Philadelphia Semifinals. Jillian will premiere a new work, Current(ly), in June 2026 with Women in Motion during their 5th Anniversary Season - continuing her trajectory as a compelling and innovative choreographic voice.

Join us THIS Sunday, April 26, at Mark Morris Dance Center for a sneak peek of Jillian’s first work for Complexions. The showing will also feature a work-in-progress by Tommi-Waheed Evans, and excerpts from works by Complexions Co-Founding Artistic Director and Principal Choreographer Dwight Rhoden.
