The horrific shooting at the San Diego Islamic Center on Monday is yet another example of the outsized threat of white supremacist ideologies, and the critical need for the work SPLC engages in combatting hate. We must stand together against this attack on our civil rights and reject hate and extremism in all forms.

In April 2026, our ICE Flight Monitor tracked 245 removal flights, a monthly record since independent flight tracking began in 2020.
These ICE flights represent a system operating in darkness. People are disappearing, deported to countries where they face persecution, or sent to places they’ve never lived—all without transparency or due process.
