"You don't need the perfect idea. You just need to begin."

Meet Lucas: a young garage inventor, robotics team leader, aspiring Disney Imagineer, and a $1,500 Project STEM Hero scholarship recipient!

From taking apart toys as a kid to rebuilding a broken robot weeks before competing, leading international robotics exchanges (including an ocean-cleanup robotic boat in Mexico!), and creating his own recycling game, Eco Arcade, Lucas has never stopped building!!!! πŸ’₯

His dream? Designing experiences that inspire kids the way Disney rides inspired him.
Congrats Lucas, student at University of Southern California -- keep building. πŸ™Œ

"Find your Brandon. Find your team. Find your why. That's where STEM starts."

Say hi to Kellie, a high schooler who builds 120-lb robots and a $1,500 Project STEM Hero scholarship recipient! For Kellie, STEM was never just formulas and homework, it's building, testing, improving, and solving problems just because you can.

But her favorite part isn't the robot. It's the people, especially her programming mentor Brandon, who passed on his love of STEM to her.

Congratulations, Kellie, student at Davidson Academy The world is waiting for you. πŸŽ‰

"The world needs more people in STEM with different backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas."

Meet Felicitas, one of our $1,500 Project STEM Hero scholarship recipients! She used to think she was terrible at math, until a teacher showed her that struggling doesn't mean you're not smart enough, it means you're learning. From failed motorized track builds to finally getting it right, Felicitas is proof that STEM isn't about being perfect. It's about curiosity, persistence, and trying again.

Congrats, Felicitas, student of University of Virginia We can't wait to see what you build next. πŸŽ‰

We're proud to have our Programming + Impact team leading a session at Beyond Now Summit LA, powered by Summer Discovery on July 14!

Keely Quinn and Ashley McPherson are hosting an interactive workshop that takes students behind the scenes of how we build real social impact campaigns, then challenges them to tackle a real-world problem and design a solution that could be featured on DoSomething.org.

Whether it's climate, mental health, education, or social justice, we love giving young people the tools to turn their ideas into action.

Your ideas have power. Now learn how to turn them into action.
