After a long rest, we were excited to open our doors to our city for takeout & delivery this weekend. Tomorrow we open our patio. To say we are over joyed is an understatement!

With most restaurants closed for the foreseeable future, millions of our employees have been laid off and are now filing for unemployment. They don't know how they are going to pay for rent, for food, for medicines, for school, for debt, for anything else as their paycheck is gone. Overnight.

That's why I've joined ROAR/NY (Relief Opportunities for All Restaurants). We are committed to our New York community and speaking with one voice to fight for our employees and to make sure we have an industry to come back to. Our independent restaurants and businesses are the fabric of the city and every county and are undoubtedly a key piece of what makes our state unique; but, without direct government support, they will no longer exist. Independent restaurants account for two-thirds of all restaurants in this country. .
ROAR has launched a petition on change.org to provide recommendations to lawmakers to help save this industry. We know that decisions are being made right now.
