About 2 weeks ago I was invited to Six Flags Great Adventure to attend a content creator day! Thank you to everyone at the park who gave us all a closer look at Project Purple and Shoreline Pier! I also had a great time capturing POV footage as well! I can’t wait to see the finished outcome of the new Shoreline Pier very soon as I’ve seen updated photos of it with rides currently testing! I’m excited for this brand new era of Six Flags Great Adventure and seeing the level of love and care my home park truly deserves!

Six Flags Great Adventure Partners with Project Purple to Turn Coaster Excitement Into a Greater Purpose!

Charity partnership connects the park’s 2027 coaster project with pancreatic cancer awareness and patient support.

Six Flags Great Adventure is proud to announce a new partnership with Project Purple, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding support for pancreatic cancer research and patient programs.

As part of the partnership, the park’s highly anticipated 2027 coaster project, currently known publicly as “Project Purple,” will serve as more than just a code name. Through June 1, 2027, Six Flags Great Adventure will work alongside Project Purple to help spotlight the organization’s mission and create meaningful opportunities for awareness, fundraising and community engagement.

The 2027 coaster project is already generating excitement as visible construction continues to rise along the park’s Boardwalk area. Expected to be one of the tallest coasters in the world and a record-breaking multi-launch experience, the attraction represents the next major chapter in the park’s evolution.

Now, it will also help support a cause far bigger than thrills.

“We’re excited to partner with Project Purple and use the visibility of this incredible new attraction to help shine a light on an important cause,” said Mike Fehnel, park president of Six Flags Great Adventure. “This partnership is especially meaningful to me personally, having lost my father to pancreatic cancer. It’s a disease that impacts far too many families, including mine. As Project Purple rises on our skyline, we have an opportunity to raise awareness, inspire support and create a meaningful connection between unforgettable experiences and real impact.”

Project Purple has spent more than two decades supporting pancreatic cancer patients and their families while funding critical research efforts aimed at improving outcomes and ultimately finding a cure.

“We are honored to partner with Six Flags Great Adventure and be part of such an exciting and visible project,” said Dino Verrelli, CEO of Project Purple. “This collaboration helps us bring our mission to new audiences and reminds people that awareness can happen in powerful and unexpected places.”

Guests visiting Six Flags Great Adventure will begin seeing Project Purple signage throughout the park, along with QR code opportunities to learn more about the organization, its mission and ways to support pancreatic cancer research and patient care.

Additional fundraising initiatives, special events and future milestone celebrations tied to the partnership will be announced throughout the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

🎄 Holiday in the Park Returns for 2026! 🎄

The most wonderful time of the year is making its triumphant return to Six Flags Great Adventure as Holiday in the Park comes back in 2026, reimagined, redesigned and more magical than ever.

This fan-favorite seasonal event has been completely transformed into a fully immersive holiday experience, blending festive entertainment, seasonal flavors, dazzling lights and select thrill rides into one unforgettable winter celebration for families across the region.

From glowing entryways to cozy winter villages, the park will be transformed into a living holiday storybook. Guests can explore immersive themed lands filled with elaborate décor, each designed to capture the spirit of the season with a fresh and modern twist.

Holiday in the Park will feature more live entertainment than ever before, including:

• Nightly tree lighting spectaculars

• Holiday carolers and live musicians

• Festive performances

• Seasonal characters and interactive moments throughout the park

“We heard our guests loud and clear,” said John Reilly, president and CEO of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. “Holiday in the Park has long been a cornerstone event at these properties, and we’ve taken everything we’ve learned to thoughtfully evolve the

experience. This brand-new Holiday in the Park captures the heart and wonder of the season while maximizing the warmth of the day for rides and entertainment and offering plenty of cozy ways for guests to warm up. This is a more intentional, more magical holiday celebration—designed to delight all generations.”

A Complete Creative Transformation

The 2026 debut marks the beginning of a multi-year investment, starting with three all-new immersive themed lands at Great Adventure. Additional experiences will beintroduced in future seasons, continuing to expand the event.

The creative vision is led by Logan Wince, an accomplished creative director whose immersive approach blends theatrical design, storytelling and large-scale park transformations.

“This event is about wrapping our guests in warmth, wonder and joy the moment they step through the gates,” said Kelly Daugherty, entertainment director for Six Flags.

“Every detail—from the lighting and décor to the music, characters and shows—has been carefully designed to feel emotionally rich, playful, and celebratory. We wanted each land to feel like you’ve stepped inside a holiday dream, where traditions feel familiar but the experience is fresh, awe-inspiring and full of heart.”

In addition to expansive themed environments, guests can enjoy interactive holiday experiences including photos with Santa Claus, a family-friendly indoor walk-through attraction, cookie decorating, gingerbread house building, festive photo opportunities and seasonal tasting menus curated by each park’s executive chef.

Adding to the magic, many thrill rides and kids’ areas will remain open, allowing guests to soar and spin by day—and experience the beauty of holiday lights on nighttime rides.

Operating dates, hours, show lineup and ride details will be announced at a later time, with schedules designed to maximize daytime warmth, evening sparkle and holiday togetherness.

“In 2026, festive traditions shine again. New memories are made. And the magic glows brighter than ever when Holiday in the Park returns to Six Flags Great Adventure and Six Flags Over Georgia—reimagined, redesigned and ready to wow,” Daugherty added.

Six Flags Pass Value Shines Brighter

The return of Holiday in the Park adds even more value to Six Flags Season Passes and Memberships—especially Gold Membership, which includes access to the winter season. For a limited time during the Memorial Day Sale (now through May 31, 2026), guests who purchase a Gold or Prestige Membership at Six Flags Great Adventure will receive a free 2026 All Season Drink Plan, valid for Coca-Cola® fountain drink refills all season long, including during Holiday in the Park.

Holiday in the Park admission is included with all active Memberships at the respective parks, with eligibility also extended to select other admission products. Additional access may apply for guests who purchased during the 2025 MVP Sale, those with an All-Park add-on, Prestige Passholders and Gold Passholders at select East Coast Six Flags parks.

Yesterday, I was invited by Six Flags Great Adventure to take part in a construction tour of their new coaster, Project Purple! After seeing this behemoth in person, I am super excited to ride it in 2027! The launched stall on this attraction is going to be insane! I was also able to touch Barrels O’ Fun, the relocated Ragin’ Cajun spinning coaster from Six Flags America which will open this season! Who else is pumped?!
