We have a packed schedule at the Latino Commission on AIDS over the next 10 days in Albany, NY. From March 7th to 10th, we're excited to participate in the 2024 SOMOS INC New York Conference. Our agenda includes a special reception at the Governor's Mansion, alongside numerous legislative workshops and events.

Following that, from March 11th to 13th, in collaboration with the Hispanic Federation, we're bringing together community leaders from various organizations across Buffalo, Rochester, Amsterdam, Albany, Westchester, Yonkers, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Nassau, and Suffolk.

This gathering is part of the NYS Latino Health Action Legislative Educational Days, aiming to discuss vital health issues affecting Hispanics in NYS with our Senators, Assembly Members, and New York Government offices.

Wrapping up our stay, we will hold our annual Training Institute Reunion Latina at the Hilton Albany. This event will feature engaging workshops on topics such as HIV in the elderly, services for the transgender community, mental health and substance use in people living with HIV (PLWH), HIV in cisgender Latinas, and capacity-building workshops for our partner agencies on the second day. It's nearly 10 days of dedicated effort for our community in Albany.

AVP, the National Harm Reducation Coalition and Good Call NYC will be hosting an afternoon of trainings and resources at The Bodega Lounge in Flatbush, Brooklyn.

The event will include De- Escalation tactics and resource offerings from AVP, a Naloxone administration training and kits from NHRC, and a Know Your Rights training and intro to Good Call NYC, an arrest support hotline.
