Parent Support Licking County

No matter how old you are, seeing a big red fire truck or a mighty excavator can be pretty exciting!

That's why we want to invite families we support of all ages to join the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities at the annual Dozers and Diggers Touch-a-Truck event on July 11 in Downtown Newark.

This FREE outdoor event is organized by The Works: Ohio Center for History, Art & Technology from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 11 at 55 S. 1st Street in Newark.
Not only will you see some of the coolest trucks around, but there are also some amazing inclusive options for local families of all ages!

Dozers and Diggers has a sensory-friendly hour from 9 to 10 a.m. July 11 which will feature quiet time without loud honking.

Once families are done checking out the trucks, we invite them to cool off, calm down and enjoy coffee and doughnuts on us! LCBDD staff members and our Superintendent will be at the United Way of Licking County community space (22 South 1st Street, Newark) from 9 to 11 a.m.

Momentum Refresh will be at the entire event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 11 offering a clean accessible restroom for all. The vehicle offers a wheelchair lift, a universal changing table with a hoist (bring your own sling) and an accessible toilet and sink. LCBDD is grateful to have received American Rescue Plan Act funds, which allows us to offer this resource to the community.
