Metamorphosis Youth Development

13 years ago I graduated from theeee 1st degree granting HBCU-Lincoln University! Working in education for the past 7 years and seeing my students growth as their first Dean of Students in their high school experience is rewarding.

Let’s fast forward, now in their final year of their high school academic experience I discovered that my first 9th grade group of students commit the next four years to theeee 1st degree granting HBCU. A few told me in advance, while the others made a great surprise. As their Academy Leader now, I’m so happy and excited to see these youth people commit themselves to a place where I’ve called home, I felt welcomed, felt loved, felt accepted and also developed as a young black woman.

I am Newark raised but LINCOLN made! Congrats to my kiddos wait no, these young adults. 💙🧡💙🧡 welcome to the family
