TEDDU-NGAL
Teddungal is a word from the Fula language that represents Honor, Dignity, and Respect. More than a word, it is a way of carrying yourself through life.
For generations, these values shaped communities. They were reflected in how people respected their elders, welcomed visitors, protected one another, and upheld their word. A person’s value was not measured by wealth or status, but by their character.
At Jufure, we believe this message is more important today than ever before.
We live in a world that constantly tells people who they should be. Teddu-ngal represents the choice to remain grounded in who you truly are. To move with confidence without arrogance. To treat others with respect. To carry yourself with dignity, even when no one is watching.
While the word comes from the Fula people, the values behind it belong to all of humanity.
This collection was not created for one tribe, one country, or one community alone. It was created for those who believe that true strength comes from character, that respect should be given freely, and that dignity should never be compromised.
Every piece in this collection carries the belief that the way we conduct ourselves matters. Not because of the clothes we wear, but because of the values we represent.
In a time when many people are searching for identity, Teddu- ngal speaks to a timeless truth
Honor yourself.
Respect others.
Carry your dignity everywhere you go.
Because true greatness is not found in what we own, but in how we carry ourselves.

Yankuba Darboe, Chairman of the Brikama Area Council and a senior member of the United Democratic Party (UDP), has dismissed the prospect of a coalition between the UDP and Essa Faal’s APP-Sobeyaa, citing fundamental disagreements over leadership selection.
Speaking in an interview with QTV, Darboe said the positions of both parties on leadership are too far apart to allow for a viable political alliance.
“If I am to be honest with myself and everyone, I don’t think UDP will ever be able to have a coalition with Essa Faal. Essa Faal has made his position clear, and our position is also very clear,” Darboe said.
According to him, the key point of contention is the selection of a coalition flagbearer. He noted that while Faal has publicly opposed what he describes as the “coronation” of a presidential candidate, the UDP believes its leader should naturally lead any alliance because of the party’s political strength and support base.
“He said he will not accept coronation, and to us coronation is what we want; we want our party leader to be coronated. He is the leader of our party; we are the biggest party,” Darboe said.
Despite ruling out a partnership with APP-Sobeyaa, Darboe indicated that the UDP remains open to coalition-building ahead of future elections. However, he emphasized that any such arrangement would be led by the UDP and would differ from the coalition models currently being discussed in political circles.
