Our streak of days with snow covering the ground has come to an end in most parts of Delaware. After 24 consecutive days with snow cover at the New Castle County Airport, the grass is visible again. The 24-day run with snow on the ground is the 4th longest snow cover streak on record in Wilmington. Only 1978 (36 days), 1961 (31 days), and 2003 (27 days) have seen longer streaks. Now the question becomes—how long until the next flakes begin to cover the ground?
