⚠️🥵⛈️ The hottest heat indices so far this year are expected today, topping out near 100° this afternoon in most areas. Near record breaking highs in the low to mid 90s. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Friday for portions of the area, as similarly hot and humid conditions are expected again on Friday.
Similar to Wednesday, scattered storms are forecast to develop late afternoon/evening. However the risk of severe storms will be greater today, with damaging winds as the main threat.

⛈️Tonight's fast moving thunderstorms brought strong winds and heavy rain that caused tree limbs to break and bring down power lines. Our crews are working safely and as quickly as possible to restore power to those customers who have experienced an outage, and will continue to do so 24/7 until all customers have been restored. We remind you to report your outage to us if you have not already and stay at least 30 feet away from downed wires.
