While the thought behind these gestures is certainly in the right place, these types of unsolicited donations overwhelm response teams. Sadly, most of these donations will end up in landfills.

Most aid organizations will have a wish list of needed items. Check with them before donating, and your generosity will have the most impact exactly where it's needed!
