Trooper
Minnesota State Police
May 2, 2026 - Minneapolis, Minnesota
An incident originally began with an attempted traffic stop by Ramsey County Sheriff's Deputies in St. Paul. Deputies briefly terminated the active pursuit but the car was tracked by a State Patrol helicopter. The active chase was called off, but law enforcement was still monitoring the vehicle from above when a crash occurred.
The stolen vehicle fleeing police ran a stop sign at 80 mph and T-boned a Minnesota State Patrol squad car at 46th Street and Aldrich Avenue.
The Trooper suffered significant injuries including a fractured right fibula and left scapula and had to be extricated from the squad car.
