Fun in the sun! πŸ›

✨We had the best time at our Kay Shell Montessori Community Playdate today!

Carl Miller Park was filled with laughter as our families played, explored, and socialized together.

To top off a perfect morning, we cooled down with some seriously yummy popsicles! πŸ§ŠπŸ“

Thank you to everyone who came out to make this day so special. We love our community! 🫢

🐍✨ Our Students had an Unforgettable morning at school! We had some very special wild visitors drop by! βœ¨πŸ¦‰A huge thank you to Bear Creek Nature Center for bringing the wonders of the wild directly to our Montessori students. Our playground was filled with awe, curiosity, and hands-on learning. The children had the incredible opportunity to meet two amazing animal ambassadors:Monty the gentle Ball Python 🐍 and Dottie the majestic Great Horned Owl πŸ¦‰In true Montessori fashion, students used all of their senses to connect with nature. They practiced tactile learning by safely touching and exploring real artifact specimens, including:Smooth snake shed, Textured snake skin, and Sharp bird claws. Experiences like this spark a lifelong love for wildlife and conservation. We are so proud of our students for showing such respect and curiosity toward our animal neighbors.

🌊 Dive into learning! Our PrePrimary students are exploring the wonders of the deep blue sea this week.
Through hands-on, sensory-rich activities, our youngest learners are discovering the fascinating creatures that call the ocean home. They are matching realistic objects, feeling unique textures, and building their vocabulary with these marine friends:
⭐️ Starfish – Feeling their unique shapes and counting their arms.πŸ¦€ Crabs – Practicing sideways scuttling and fine-motor pincher grasps.
🐟 Fish – Watching them glide and exploring vibrant colors.
πŸ™ Octopuses – Counting eight wiggly tentacles through sorting games.
🐒 Turtles – Learning about smooth shells and slow, steady movements.
By following the child's natural curiosity, we turn simple work into meaningful ocean exploration.
