Our Story
Newnan City Church is part of the Free Methodist Church. Dr. Jimmy Ellison and wife Beth were sent to Newnan, GA, by Bishop David Roller, the overseer of the Alabama-Georgia Conference of the FMC to establish a new congregation in the fall of 2016. Working with a core group of eight families, NCC launched its first service in January 2017 with the purpose of transforming lives for Jesus’ sake.
Newnan City Church is built around three pillars: 1) Sunday Worship, 2) Community Groups (Bible studies), and 3) Serving in local missions. We believe one’s life is transformed when these three pillars are a common practice.
The long-term vision of NCC is not to be a large congregation, meeting in one building, but rather to birth new congregations as we grow. Our measure of success will be how many healthy congregations we birth over the next decade.
