Some experiences leave you with action items. The good ones leave you with perspective.

Rahul Satpute, Change Lead at SAP in Bengaluru, recently had the opportunity to spend time with colleagues in Walldorf, Germany. Much of his work over the past few years has been in a virtual environment, collaborating with colleagues across different countries and time zones. The trip was a reminder of how much changes when people are simply in the same room together.

Meeting colleagues in person for the first time after years of Teams calls, experiencing the openness and collaborative culture at the Walldorf office, and having the kinds of conversations that don’t always happen in scheduled meetings. That is what stayed with him. 💙

Sometimes the most valuable moments are the ones that were never on the agenda.

👋 Xin chào!

I’m Ryan, a Solution Support Engineer in the APJ Technical Support team, based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. 🇻🇳

My path to SAP wasn't a straight line. I studied chemical engineering 🧪, started my career as a 3D creator in the footwear industry 👟, and eventually realized I enjoyed troubleshooting software more than designing products. That curiosity led me into cloud technical support, and today I’m part of SAP’s Data & Platform team.

During the week, I help customers around the world solve technical challenges and keep their systems running smoothly. My work focuses on technical support and low-level operating system troubleshooting, often digging deep to find the root cause of complex issues. 🖥️

What keeps me motivated is the opportunity to learn something new every day. I enjoy solving problems, collaborating with others, and turning challenges into opportunities to grow. 🌱

What happens when SAP’s EMEA AI organisation gets together under one roof?

David Pontoppidan, Head of Business AI for Nordics & Baltics, spent two days at the SAP Innovation Centre in Potsdam with AI colleagues from across the region. The agenda: agentic architectures, knowledge graphs, security, autonomous workflows, and yes - robots that refuse to behave like spreadsheets.

One standout moment: Dr. Dimitrios Lyras, Chief AI Expert, shared a classic probability puzzle - a game that looks infinitely valuable on paper but isn’t worth playing if you’re just rolling the dice.

His point? The same applies to AI. Generic models alone won’t get you far. The real advantage comes from strong governance, structured data, and clear foundations. That’s what turns experiments into compounding results - and it’s what SAP is building for customers.

Thanks to Kevin Carlyon for pulling it together, and to the Nordics & Baltics AI black belts: Philip Johannesson, Hanna Björnbom, Søren Binderup, and Thomas Friis Formann ♥️♠️

SAP hosted SAPtainment at Allianz Arena, and let's just say the venue delivered. ⚽🇩🇪

Earole (VP of Strategic Ex*****on), Sebastian (Development Manager), and Christopher (Director SAP IaaS Support EMEA) sat down with students from TU Munich and LMU to talk honestly about careers, cloud, and AI at SAP.

One question from the room stuck: With AI doing so much, what will people actually do?

Earole's answer was simple.

"Everything AI cannot do. Reading the room. Building trust. Knowing which conversation to have, with whom, and when. AI makes us faster. AI makes us sharper. But orchestration and collaboration? That is still human." 💙

Some conversations are worth making space for 💜

Sofia, Solution Support Engineer at SAP Labs Monterrey, helped organize the kickoff of the Business Women Network chapter. Her intention from the start: go beyond talent and open real conversations about leadership, growth, and inclusion.

Over breakfast and a panel, colleagues from across the organization came together to do exactly that. Four people managers joined as panelists, each bringing their own perspective on the challenges women still face in their careers, what it actually means to be an ally, and the small daily actions that make workplaces more equitable.

One thing Sofia took away from the day: change doesn’t happen on its own. It’s built, one small action at a time, by people who choose to show up with intention.

This is just the beginning for BWN Monterrey 🙌
