Most of us can rationally agree with biblical truth: God is good. God loves me. I am not alone. But in the pressure of real life, our reactions often tell a different story.
We manage, perform, withdraw, control or hide — and without realizing it, we live from a place that sabotages the very things we most long for: connection, peace and purpose.
That’s the battle. And it’s worth fighting.

Lies We Believe: Healing always happens alone.
This might be the most quietly believed lie of all. Because on the surface, it makes sense. Healing feels personal. The pain is ours, the story is ours, and letting someone into it means letting them see the parts of us that we're not sure are okay yet. So we close the door. We tell ourselves we'll figure it out. We wait until we're better to let people back in.
Isolation doesn't protect us from pain. It just keeps us alone inside of it. The walls we build to keep people from seeing the mess could be the same walls that keep healing from reaching us.
Scripture is clear that we were made for this kind of togetherness. Galatians 6:2 calls us to carry each other's burdens, not because we're supposed to air everything to everyone, but because there is something that happens when a safe person sits with us in our hard thing. God designed it that way on purpose. Even Jesus didn't walk through His hardest moments without pulling people close.
Healing happens best in relationship. With God. With safe people. With community that tells us the truth and stays anyway. That's not weakness or neediness, that's exactly how we were made to work.
Who is one person you could let a little closer today?

Heart Check: Are you feeling afraid today?
If something has your heart unsettled right now, we want you to know that fear doesn't mean you're faithless. It means you're human. Fear is your heart recognizing that something feels uncertain, uncontrollable or vulnerable. And usually, it's pointing directly at something you deeply care about.
Most of us don't sit with fear very long. We try to manage it by controlling everything we can, avoiding what makes us anxious or lying awake and overthinking every possible outcome. It feels productive, but it rarely brings peace. It just keeps us busy enough not to feel it.
Here's what we believe: fear doesn't have to be the end of the story. It can actually be an invitation. An honest moment where we stop pretending we have it handled and say, "God, will you meet me here?" Isaiah 41:10 tells us, "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you." That's not a command to feel differently, it's a promise that you're not facing it alone.
So today, instead of fighting the fear or running from it, we invite you to bring it somewhere.
What would it look like to bring your fear into God's care?
