Norfolk Alumnae Chapter-DST
Norfolk Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
06/19/2026
Today, we pause to celebrate freedom, resilience, and the rich history of our culture. Juneteenth—June 19, 1865—marks a monumental turning point in our nation’s history, representing the triumph of the human spirit and the enduring pursuit of true equality.
As an organization built on the foundation of Sisterhood, Scholarship, and Service, we reflect on the shoulders of the ancestors who paved the way for our progress. Today is not just a reminder of how far we have come, but a call to action to continue advocating for justice, equity, and empowerment in our communities.
Let’s celebrate our heritage, support our communities, and keep moving forward together. ✊🏾✨

This month’s recipient was selected for this honor in recognition of her devoted love of sisterhood within the Norfolk Alumnae Chapter. She empowers and elevates members through developing deep and supportive sisterhood bonds.
For the past several years, our Soror has made an extraordinary impact by keeping chapter members informed about and engaged in local arts, music, and cultural experiences. Through her leadership and dedication, she has fostered a greater appreciation for the arts while encouraging fellowship, community engagement, and lifelong learning.
As Chair of Arts and Letters, she exemplifies servant leadership by enthusiastically promoting literary, cultural, and artistic programs within Norfolk elementary schools and throughout our community. Her efforts have strengthened sisterhood, expanded cultural
awareness, and created meaningful opportunities for service and enrichment.
Through her passion, vision, and commitment, she has demonstrated how the arts can inspire, educate, and uplift both our chapter and the communities we serve. Her leadership, creativity, and unwavering dedication have left a lasting impact on Norfolk Alumnae and the community we serve.
