As we continue our celebration of , we honor the unwavering spirit and contributions of African Americans who have transformed the landscape of labor and economic justice in the United States.

From the establishment of early Black labor unions to present-day advocacy for workplace equity, this journey is marked by resilience, courage, and vision.

๐Ÿ”น 1865: The Emancipation Proclamation opens possibilities for paid labor.
๐Ÿ”น 1925: A. Philip Randolph founds the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, paving the way for Black labor movements.
๐Ÿ”น 1963: Bayard Rustin leads the March on Washington, amplifying the call for racial and economic justice.
๐Ÿ”น 1970s: Dorothy Bolden champions labor rights for Black domestic workers.
๐Ÿ”น Present Day: The fight continues for fair wages, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
