An up-close look at the fire truck made the visit even more exciting! It was a wonderful time filled with learning, laughter, and community spirit. Today at the Training Tower, the next generation of NFR Rescue Company members faced a rigorous skills assessment. From confined space and rope rescue to vehicle stabilization and other technical rescue disciplines, firefighters demonstrated the knowledge, precision, and teamwork required for the toughest calls.

Yesterday, HRFA Class 87 took to the water for Water Rescue Awareness training, gaining hands-on experience with the hazards, challenges, and fundamentals of operating safely during water emergencies.

Last night, the Norfolk Tides recognized local leaders dedicated to keeping our community safe, including NFR’s own Fire Marshal Damon Langley, who joined regional partners on the mound for the ceremonial first pitch. 👏
