Good evening people, I'd like to bring you all in on what I'm working on. This entryway door is over 150 years old. The worst part of its age was right before I removed the clear coat and stain today. The homeowners that live behind these Antique doors are well aware of the fact that they are merely caretakers of the property and that they are honored to do so. They also almost speak of their home as if it's a living organism; this conversation comes up often. I value that; especially if they're allowing me to take care with them.
Now back to the door...this door has been HEPA prepped and cleaned from head to toe. As I continue to prepare the wood even more for stain, I thought about how many people actually stood at this door maybe waiting for a date or a doctor trying to care for an ill person. Well it's still here standing. May my hands help it make another 150. Stay tuned to see what It looks like in 2021. The color stain I'm going to be using is called American Walnut. More blessings and more tenacity for each and everyone this year! We can do it.
