A beautiful and sunny day calls for a smoothie bowl!
I know when you are only cooking/making food for yourself it can be a little hard to find the motivation to put effort into your food. I have definitely had the “what’s the point if I’m the only one enjoying it” thought cross my mind a hundred times. I’ve been trying to get better about taking the time, switching things up, and really enjoy what I am making instead of just grabbing whatever is quick and easy or plopping leftovers on a plate (half of the time not even heating them up lol).
Today instead of my normal smoothie that I’ve made so many times I could do it in my sleep, I decided to take the extra time to make a smoothie bowl and make it all pretty which is one of my all time favorite things.
Instead of just plopping whatever leftovers on my plate I’ve been trying to repurpose them by adding extra veg, make them into a hash, or maybe some different spices, whatever you can think of to give them a little extra life!
When I change these things I notice a massive shift in my mood AND in how I feel!
I challenge you to make it a goal this week to take that little extra time for yourself whether that’s making a smoothie bowl or a 5 course meal, you deserve it babe!

You can catch me hiding behind a book through all of December!
To be honest I can’t even wrap my mind around the fact that it’s December tomorrow.
For those of you who were following me around this time last year, you might have seen a few of my posts about 12 Goals in 12 Months. The idea behind 12 Goals in 12 Months was to create a new habit each month or start something new like switching to natural cleaning products. I’ve decided for the month of December I’m taking all of those goals I set each month and packing them into one. For example one of my goals was to read for at least 15 minutes every day with the hope that even after that month, reading would be a more consistent thing in my life. Since I did that I’ve become so much more consistent with reading and absolutely love it so I’m going to bring back the every day for at least 15 minutes for the month of December along with all of my other goals such as, HIIT 3x per week, leaving my phone downstairs when I go to bed, making a new recipe each week.... you get the idea.
At the end of December I’m going to do a roundup in my newsletter or blog of the goals I set (I changed a few), months I missed, and the benefits I saw. I know I’ve done a bad job at keeping you all updated on each monthly goal this past year so the roundup will be a perfect way to talk about each specific goal and maybe give you some ideas for your 2021, 12 Goals in 12 Months list!
