We have positive news to share. Power has been restored to our Gretna lab, and we have resumed operations today (Weds, Sept 8th).

Here are the actions we are taking in response to Hurricane Ida:
We have installed an additional generator at our Gretna lab to ensure an uninterrupted and independent power supply
We are recovering specimens which were held in shipping channels
We have established daily, alternative ground-shipping lanes from shipping hubs to Gretna
We have implemented 24/7 operations at our Richmond laboratory
We are ramping up to 24/7 operations at our Gretna lab over the coming days
We are leveraging 3rd party laboratories to augment capacity

For specimens collected from 8/27 onward, there will be reporting delays. We are working diligently through the backlog.

With the Gretna lab resuming operations today, we are closely monitoring the recovery process. We are targeting to update you this Friday as to when results can be expected by collection date. Please continue to monitor communications for updates.

As we work to retrieve and accession outstanding specimens, we will not be in a position over the next several days to provide specimen-specific status updates.
