AAMU's Department of Social Work is pleased to announce the start of our summer training series for family and child welfare specialists. This event is FREE. Registration is required.

Congratulations to Nikki Goins-Hughes, an alumna of AAMU from 2007 (BSW) and 2008 (MSW), on earning the title of Dr. Nikki Goins-Hughes. Dr. Goins-Hughes graduated Friday, May 8th from University of Kentucky's DSW program in Administrative Leadership. Her capstone was titled "Leading on an Uneven Playing Field: How Systems of Race and Gender Shape African American Women’s Leadership Advancement".

The Social Work Students in Birmingham are coordinating an opportunity for students to engage in service and make a meaningful impact by volunteering at St. Andrews Community Kitchen on March 21st. All students are eligible to participate.
