Throwback Thursday
Midwest Food Bank began on a McLean County farm in 2003 after the Kieser family read a Pantagraph article about ten local nonprofits struggling to keep food on their shelves.
Bob, David, and Paul Kieser (pictured here) took action. They started collecting and sharing donated food with those agencies including Home Sweet Home Ministries and The Salvation Army Bloomington IL , which were serving about 500 people at the time.
Their compassion was rooted in childhood. Their parents taught them to help neighbors in need, often loading a wagon with groceries and walking it down a country road to deliver food to a family who needed it.
That simple act of kindness became the foundation of a mission that continues to impact lives today. Can you join us in the mission? https://midwestfoodbank.org/locations/bloomington-normal

A big thank you to Menards for hosting a canned food drive during the month of June to help local families! Because of the generosity of their customers and team members, 100 pounds of food will help stock local food pantry shelves and provide meals for neighbors facing hunger.
Would your business, church, school, or organization like to make a difference too?
We have a collection bin ready to borrow, and hosting a food drive is an easy way to bring your team and community together while helping families in need.
Send us a message if you'd like to host a food drive. Every can, every box, and every act of kindness helps put food on a family's table.
Thank you again, Menards, for serving our community with compassion! β€οΈ

We weren't expecting this today...
For months, our service project volunteers have been asking for more small and medium disposable gloves. We've been searching for the best price because one case costs around $80, and we go through them quickly when safely repacking bulk food.
Today, a miscellaneous truck load from Convoy of Hope arrived with mostly drinks and snacks. Hidden in the middle of the load were two pallets with 130 cases of disposable gloves in the EXACT sizes we needed!
Only God could have orchestrated a surprise like that.
This unexpected gift saved our ministry nearly $10,000, allowing those resources to go where they're needed most. π
We give God all the glory and are deeply thankful for faithful partners like Convoy of Hope who continue to bless ministries like ours. β€οΈ

π¦ Warehouse Words Wednesday π¦
The answer is B β TOTER! A wheeled bin is used to collect and move items around the warehouse.
Our garbage toters may not look exciting, but they help volunteers and Project Leads save time, reduce trips to the dumpster, and keep service projects running smoothly. Small tools can make a big impact! πβ»οΈ
