Here’s another great opportunity to get involved in Tribal health research while also getting mentorship and support!

The Center for the Ethics of Indigenous Genomic Research (CEIGR) is very excited to introduce the Community Scholars Program as part of the newly funded Partnerships for Indigenous-led ELSI Research (PIER).

PIER, led by Southcentral Foundation in partnership with the University of Oklahoma and University of Washington, promotes meaningful collaboration with AI/AN communities and AI/AN-serving health systems toward Indigenous-driven approaches to genomic research. The Community Scholars Program is for individuals interested in gaining mentorship and experience in Tribal health research.

Potential applicants can attend online informational sessions throughout March to learn more about the program and ask questions of the PIER team. Final applications will be due April 30, 2026.
