Ready to go here for day 2 at North Georgia Speedway for the SCDRA Shamrock Showdown.
Spencer Whisnant is behind the wheel of his JFS Trucking #9 Acura Integra and John Whisnant is behind the wheel of his Mark Bunch Racing #71 Honda civic.
We had practice and round one qualifying last night. Both cars were having fuel issues during qualifying resulting in Spencer qualifying 32nd and John qualifying 33rd out of 50 cars. We believe to have both cars fuel issues resolved and will try again here in round 2 of qualifying this afternoon.
Huge thanks to everyone that has helped us make it to this event. Without y’all we wouldn’t be able to do what we do.

Well last night was eventful to say the least. Arrived at Penton Raceway for the SCDRA compact world championship. Started the night out with Spencer Whisnant going 31st fastest and John Whisnant going 34th fastest in hotlaps out of 65 cars. Qualifying came next with John qualifying 42nd and Spencer qualifying 53rd. Heat races came around with John in the 3rd heat and Spencer in the 4th. John stated 8th in his heat and made it up to around 4th/5th before ultimately coming home in 6th with them only taking the top 3. He should roll off 5th in the first B-Main tonight.
Now onto the eventful part. Spencer rolled off 10th for his heat race and was running with the pack waiting to make a move when the right front blew off the bead and sent him up and over. He rolled in the air about 3 times after the initial roll on the ground and the the final roll when it landed totaling around 5 complete rotations. He was uninjured. All of his safety equipment worked perfectly leaving him just sore and spirits down. Huge thank you to everyone that has reached out to check on him. Not exactly sure what will be next for him as we figure out a car for him to run for the remainder of the year. If you would like to help out just reach out to us, any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
