I told them to just shout it from the rooftops, but they insisted. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Our family has a lake place an hour from Simplicity where we spend time in the summer. Every time I take that drive alone, I use it to reflect on all of the things I’m grateful for, pray for others and spend time in worship singing along to one of my favorite stations Phil Wickham on Pandora. Today my thoughts instantly turned to Simplicity.

We had an excellent week at the store and not only that, but it was a lot of fun. If I had to miss a beautiful day at the lake with my family for a job I hated, it just wouldn’t be worth it, but that is not the case. I am extremely grateful for my amazing employees, Michelle, Grace, Kapria and Eliza who help me to keep everything running smoothly and give me rest with my family as well. If you’ve had the pleasure of working with any of them you know how blessed I am.

Aside from that, I am grateful for all of you who are new to Simplicity and those of you who stop in often. Whether you are there to grab a gift, refresh your closet, or just get in some retail therapy, we appreciate you! You bring joy to our small business and we love to see you light up over the pieces we’ve hand picked for you.

As I sat there in the quiet of my car running through all these things I’m grateful for in my head I felt a little overwhelmed. In a good way. I decided to turn on music and I don’t know about you, but God often speaks to me through music showing me he’s right there with me and listening. I switched on Pandora and thought “what do you have for me today Lord” and instantly the song “God I’m Just Grateful” by Elevation Worship came on and let’s just say the tears were flowing.

All this to say, I hope you all find blessings in your day, your weekend and in every shopping experience at Simplicity.
