They also flatter, appear to rescue and will make you second guess yourself often. They may seem so gentlemanly, ordering for you at a restaurant, picking out your clothes because they like to see you in it, or not wanting you to spend time with family and friends because they just want you all to themselves. This is not romantic. It's control and isolation. Please be aware of the signs. If it doesn't feel right, it's not right. If your friends and family don't like him, listen. If you need help, ask for it! Don't allow someone to make you less than and don't tolerate even an ounce of abuse. If you ever need help, day or night, call me, text me, smoke signal me, but seek help! Don't be ashamed or embarrassed, that's the abuser getting in your head. People love you, God loves you and you need to love yourself ❤️
