K-Con recently broke ground on another project and has been reminded that winter is coming. While many watched the Colorado State Football team get beat by the Air Force Academy in the snow on the 28th of October, few thought of the weather's impact on construction. Snowfall was between 4" and 6" and was enough to coat the site and impact site work for a few days.

Winter conditions often affect construction schedules. However, the impacts can be mitigated by making good decisions. K-Con's Superintendent, Thomas Lunder, shut the site down for two days to ensure construction equipment did not cause a bad situation and further delay the project. The snow has now melted, and we are right back to work!

The Owner of the building, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will use the facility to study Chronic Wasting Disease in the deer population. The study is critical in understanding the disease and how it may be transmitted between species. We are honored to be a part of this project, and we can't wait to see the scientific discoveries uncovered once the new Pre-Engineered Metal Building is completed.

⛳ Flashback Friday at Topgolf! ⛳

Last week, the K-Con team spent Friday afternoon at Topgolf to host a send-off celebration for one of our project managers, Ben Watson. Ben is packing up and moving across the country and will work remotely for K-Con. We will miss seeing his face daily in the office, but we are happy he is only one video call away. K-Con wants to wish Ben and his family all the best on their new journey.
