Soggy Bottom Racing

Red flag's out! If we can't go racing, we do the next best thing.

Today Luke watched as The Captain pulled out of the driveway on its journey to Ohio with its new owner. It's pretty incredible to think over 4 years of racing what he has accomplished. With no previous racing experience (let me repeat that...no. previous. racing. experience.) he hopped in a car and did the following: over 75 races with over 20 wins, 99% of the races were a top 10 or better. He received two rookie of the year titles-one for each class of car he graced. He took two track championships, with the other two years an impressive 2nd and third place. This year, with just one race left, he has all but clenched 1st place in points in the State for the IMCA championship. All 4 years he raced he has claimed at least top 5 in his region and or Nation. In four years, Luke found a passion and was successful at it, learned a lot and had an insurmountable amount of fun. I couldn't be more proud of him for what he has done, but I am not in the least bit surprised. It's all right in line for the amazing person he is. I'm super excited to see what the next chapter holds for him and our family. As we believe and the great Dr. Seuss said, " Don't be sad it's over, be happy it happened."

Luke had a great run and finished 2nd for the night. Well done Luke!
