Jennings County has a population of about 27,600 people.
Every month, we see the same 10–15 volunteers showing up to care for the animals at Mercy Rescue. They feed, clean, walk dogs, transport animals, answer calls, help at events, and do whatever needs to be done.
People often ask, “What do you need?”
The answer is simple… people.
Imagine if just 60 people in our county gave 1–2 hours a month, working in teams of at least two.
We don’t need 1% of Jennings County. One percent would be 276 people.
We’re asking for just 0.22% of our community—about 1 person out of every 460.
Now imagine if those 60 people showed up this Wednesday evening to help deliver pizzas for a couple of hours.
One evening could raise money for the animals. One or two hours each month could change the future of Mercy Rescue.
Maybe you can’t foster. Maybe you can’t adopt. But maybe you can deliver a few pizzas Wednesday and maybe that first couple of hours becomes the beginning of something bigger.
Sometimes changing your community starts with something as simple as a pizza. 🍕🐾
