Nice4Bryce Kindness Project

Let’s be the change we want to see in the world!

When thinking of starting this project with MitoAction, I always knew that our family wanted to find a way to continue to honor our son’s legacy. We knew we wanted to create a program that would allow us to support others as so many had done for our family. Teaming up with MitoAction and having them house the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project is a true testament to the personalized and life-changing support they provide for families like mine.

I know that Bryce’s story has touched so many lives and that he has made a mark not only in the mitochondrial disease community, but so far beyond. In just 16 short months, Bryce touched the lives of thousands and taught us the importance of living each day to the fullest, but most important, the impact that even a simple act of kindness can have in one’s life. This is one of the many lessons that we learned from our son. So, in his honor, we are thrilled to launch the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project to be a shining light of love, support and hope for families facing mitochondrial disease all across the country.

As we go forward with the Nice4Bryce Kindness Project, we will be able to embrace other families with the sense of community and unconditional love that surrounded our family during our most difficult days. While facing the most tragic time in our lives, complete strangers came forward to offer their love and support as they were inspired by our “Almighty Brycey’s” story and the lessons we didn’t even realize at the time he was teaching us all. We began to wit- ness the community embracing not just our family, but one another by doing acts of kindness in the community and for each other in honor of my son. By doing so, they showed Bryce that his life had made a difference in theirs.
