Notre Dame family fun đ¤ Serving those in need
Week 1 of Family Volunteer Camp is in the books! Thirty-five families made campus home this week, combining all the fun of family vacation and summer camp with meaningful service to those in need in South Bend and our surrounding communities. Thank you to our Week 1 families and community partners for being such inspiring forces for good. We can't wait to see what Weeks 2 & 3 have in store!
Quiet on the homefront âď¸âď¸đżď¸

Growing up in southwest Detroit, JoAnn ChĂĄvez â86, â90 J.D. could have found herself trapped in the cycle of poverty and addiction that surrounded her. But when she made her way to University of Notre Dame she was determined to write her own narrative. Now sheâs helping âla prĂłxima generacĂon,â the next generation, through her work as the founder, president, and CEO of the Michigan Hispanic Collaborative, a nonprofit that provides support to first-generation students navigating college and what comes next.
